About

The Pride of Temple City is the marching band of Temple City High School. Currently at 150 members, they compete in competitions and parades yearly, including the Hart-Rampage Field Competition, the Sierra Vista HS Field Competition, and the Los Altos HS Field Competition. Also on the same day as the Los Altos Field Competition is the La Palma Parade, which marks the first parade competition of the season. Other parades include the Arcadia Band Review, and the Whittier Christmas Parade.

In addition to competitive parades, they also participate in the Disneyland parade each year in early February, and their own city’s parade, the Camellia Parade.

In 2004, they were invited to participate in the Tournament of Roses Parade. They were one of only two bands in the Southern-California area to march in the parade that year. Their appearance later led to an invitation to perform on the Ellen Degeneres Show.
